Vocabulary Practice Pack Worksheets

$2.99

Memorizing vocabulary is the cornerstone of learning any language. But how do you do it effectively? Many use flashcards to drill individual words, but they start to lose context. This pack allows you to keep track of words when you encounter them in context (or provide your own!). When you're reading a book, watching a TV show/movie, or listening to music in your target language, keep these sheets handy to capture sentences and phrases immediately! No more vague vocabulary lists, only useful words in context!

Worksheets included:

• Vocabulary in Context Sheet - fill in the word, meaning, and a few examples as you encounter new words while reading or listening!

• Recursive Definition Sheet - when you come across a word you don't know, look up the definition in your target language. Try to guess the meaning based off of the context of the definition before you translate. This will help you develop an intuitive understanding of the language.

• Word Association Mind Map - for words that are particularly hard to remember, put the word in the middle bubble, then fill the outer bubbles with other words you're learning or words you know that would go well with the main word. Then on the outer lines, write sentences that put those words together.

• Look, Cover, Write Practice Sheet - after using the other sheets and/or your own flashcards, fill in the word and meaning in the first two columns. Then cover up the answer and try guessing the correct word! You have three attempts to get it right or you'll have to do it again!

• Antonym and Synonym Sheets - start expanding the depth of your vocabulary by keeping track of synonyms (similar words) and antonyms (opposite words). For example, instead of being able to describe something as "tasty" you could expand into similar words like "delicious", "decadent", "appetizing", "succulent", or "appetizing" or opposite words such as "bland", "insipid", "flavorless", etc.

• Relative Comparisons Sheets - practice comparative and superlative adjectives to become more proficient in describing relative differences (e.g., good, better, best).

Your purchase contains:
• 1 PDF file (7 pages)
