Resources for Korean
Korean is an east-Asian language with approximately 80 million native speakers in the Korean peninsula and also recognized as a minority language in the Yanbian Prefecture and Changbai Korean Autonomous County of China. Korean is written using a writing system called Hangul, which was invented only recently in the 15th century. Previously, Korean was a primarily spoken language, only utilizing Chinese characters (“hanja”) to record their history. Hanja are still used today in limited contexts.
